How to play the game

The player, who acts as a peacemaker, in the playing of the game, will experience the tact, patience, and frustrations of a real “cold war” statesman. Players will become acquainted with the moods and strategies of the real “cold war” situations.

Game Objective

To attain any one of 3 peace checks.
A “Peace Check” means the sufficient building up of world resources and of military (or outer-space power) which enables a player to force other players to live in peaceful competition rather than power competition. Each player represents a home resource sector (H) in any one of eight resource territories”. Each player endeavors to control as many resource sectors, nuclear force space (NF), and outer-space units as the player believes is advantageous to win the game or to prevent another player from winning the game.

Components

  • Game Board: A vibrant map depicting the eight unique territories.
  • Resource Control Certificates: Cards representing control over territory resources.
  • Notes: The currency of the game used for transactions.
  • Flags: Each player has a home flag to stake home territory and claiming flags to lay claim to  Foreign Resource Sectors, Nuclear Force Spaces,and Outer-Space Units
  • Dice: Determines player movement and interactions on the board.

Taking Turns

Players start at either peace or justice and move in the direction of the arrows around the two spheres.

    Land and Act

    A player can claim resource sectors by paying 5 notes to the treasury. Nuclear force spaces can be claimed at anytime ,provided the player has 2 flagged resource sectors within the territory where the nuclear force (NF ) is located A player may form an alliance or conduct business on their turn before rolling the dice.

      Winning the Game

      There are three ways to win the game:
      1. Resource peace check
      2. Strategic peace check
      3. Power peace check

      Note: A player must have at least single control within the player’s home resource territory.

        Peacemakers Citations

        Upon rolling “11” on the dice, a player must comply with the citation number which is in accord with the number of the space where the player’s marker lands.
        If a player’s marker lands on either the Peace or Justice space, the player is entitled to double of the normal compensation.

        SANCTIONS

        1. Pay to Treasury 1 note.
        2. Pay to Treasury 2 notes.
        3. Pay to Treasury 4 notes.
        4. Pay to Treasury 5 notes.
        5. You will proceed to the home resource sector of the player on your right and pay him the income he is entitled from the sector.
        6. You will proceed to the home resource sector of the player on your left and pay him the income he is entitled from the sector.
        7. Pay to the treasury 10 notes.

        AWARDS

        8. A commendation from the Peacemakers.
        9. For your peaceful acts, collect 5 notes.
        10. For your contributions, collect 7 notes.
        11. For your outstanding diplomacy for peace, collect 10 notes.
        12. For peaceful purposes, collect to pay each player and yourself 5 notes from the Treasury.
        13. For your contributions, collect 7 notes.
        14. For your outstanding diplomacy for the purpose of peace, collect 10 notes.

        WELFARE

        15. Take 3 resource control certificates of your choosing from the Treasury.
        16. Give to the player on your right 2 resource control certificates of their choosing.
        17. Take from the player on your right 2 resource certificates of your choosing.
        18. Take 7 resource control certificates of your choosing from the Treasury.
        19. Give to the player on your left 2 resource control certificates of his choosing.
        20. Take from the player on your left 2 resource certificates of your choosing.
        21. Take 3 resource control certicates of your choosing from the Treasury.

        JUSTICE

        22. Due to unfair sanctions, collect from the Treasury 1 note and 1 resource control certificate of your choosing.
        23. Due to unfair sanctions, collect from the Treasury 2 notes and resource control certificates of your choosing.
        24. For damages, the player to your right will proceed to your home resource sector and pay you the amount of income you are entitled to.
        25. Due to unfair sanctions, collect from the Treasury 5 notes and resource control certificates of your choosing.
        26. For damages, the player to your left will proceed to your home resource sector and pay you the amount income you are entitled to.
        27. Due to unfair sanctions, collect from the Treasury 4 notes and resource control certificates of your choosing.
        28. For damages to your territory, each player will pay you 2 notes and resource certicates of your choosing.
