Game Overview

Waging Peace invites board game players to exercise strategy, experience cooperation, and practice diplomacy in the context of international geopolitical conflict. Players navigate the global sphere of government and law, as well as nuclear energy and rocket science, determining what is ethical and just in their pursuit of peace. The objective of the game is for one player, or alliance, to build up enough world resources, as well as military or outer-space power, to attain one of 3 “Peace Checks:” Resource Peace Check, Strategic Peace Check, and Power Peace Check. With sufficient resources, the winner influences other players to live in peaceful competition rather than embroiled in conflict. Each player has the choice to place a marker either at the Peace Space or the Justice Space to begin. From either space, players roll the dice and proceed along the playing area of the board, claiming foreign Resource Sectors, Nuclear Force Sectors, and Outer-Space Units. Each player may do business and conduct diplomatic relations with the other players according to the rules and procedures of the game. The player who acts as a peacemaker not only demonstrates tact and patience, but also effective negotiating skills in order to form alliances. The first player to obtain one of the three Peace Check wins.
